Imagine you’re meeting your best friend after a long time. You can feel the warmth instantly through both verbal & nonverbal cues while such as hugging them.

But what If you can feel the warmth and go to movies together while living 1000 km apart. Metaverse helps you do that(probably in the future).

Why Metaverse? Is it of any use?

You can play Halo or COD with your friends alongside in a very realistic way, unlike now or Junior doctors learning to perform better surgeries, advancing scientific knowledge that might one day save your life.

As this nascent technology develops, we might have many use cases popping up and, some of them are very captivating as well.

Why is Facebook investing in Metaverse so much?

Facebook owns Oculus, a company that develops the gizmos (VR Headset) that help you see the fantasy internet world(POV).

If Facebook wins, Oculus products might lead to the industry standards. Also, Facebook might develop a new alternate social system like a rulebook, giving tremendous power & control over information.

Why it may not be as good as it sounds.

In a world of constant change, things that are true today may not be true tomorrow. People will resist socialization in real life, which encourages appreciation of superficial attributes rather than appreciating imperfect, self-aware human beings.
